First week at the temple
I've been debating what to put on my blog and what to just journal. I'll keep learning as I go, but I just have to start off by saying, my words cannot describe. The peace that I felt the first day in this temple was breathtaking and even overwhelming. Heavenly Father loves us so much! We have no idea how much. Meetings and trainings are in Italian, so I pick up on words here and there, but I mainly go off of feel for now. I don't think I give that sense as much credit and time because sometimes the sight and hearing take over. But wow! I've worked in the temple Tuesday-Saturday this week. I did 5-6 hour shifts each day.

My first Italian pizza and pasta! Two different nights ;)
So many people asked how this whole experience came to pass. I still am not sure the whole line of how it came to me. I may never know. But here is what I've learned so far.
How Kami working in the Rome Italy temple for 3 months came to pass:
Before the temple opened, an 80 year old lady called/emailed the Temple President and said, I'm going to come to Rome for 3 months and work in the temple. This is my plan, this is how I'm going to do it. Okay. They thought about it and talked to needed people and said, okay. Soon thereafter, a man named George, an older man, said that same thing. Again they said okay.
George told people about it, who told people about it.
Barbara heard from a ward member in St. George
Barbara told Jan
Jan told me
We came to Rome :)
It's amazing. There is a couple missionary serving (23 months) here in the temple. Because of the 3 month option, two of his brothers are here and one-with his wife. It's so neat to be able to serve in this way.
Heavenly Father truly does know the details of our hearts and what we need. I have met so many wonderful people who just love. I've also tried to have some Italians teach me some of the language. They are so willing to teach and it's so funny to try and say what they say. I'll keep getting better.
Our airbnb host was out of town the first week we were here, so his friend Lucas helped us out. As I posted before, he helped us a lot. Well, I asked Lucas if he wanted to go to the visitors center and spend time here. He said yes! So keep him in your praters, as well as his sister. She is going through cancer and their family is fighting it with her. Christina Romero.
Ciao!
Goditi il viaggio
